A 36-year-old woman with more than 100 shoplifting convictions was convicted in her absence today for carrying out five more Cork City shoplifting.
Judge Olann Kelleher issued an arrest warrant for Yvonne Carroll of 22 Kilmore Road, Knocknaheeny, Cork, who did not appear before the Cork District Court for the latest cases against her.
Today there has been evidence of five incidents of theft committed by Yvonne Carroll.
The most recent occurred at Tiger on St. Patrick Street, where he robbed a property worth € 20 on February 26. Before that, he went to Holland and Barrett on St. Patrick Street, where he stole € 57 worth of cosmetics on February 13.
Then last year, he carried out three more shoplifting offenses in July: on July 7 he stole € 210 worth of clothes at Dunnes in Ballyvolane, on July 13 he stole a B&Q DeWalt drill in Mahon Point and finally on July 16, Yvonne Carroll snatched a bottle of vodka from him at Tesco on Paul Street.
Judge Kelleher issued the arrest warrant so that it could be brought to court for sentencing.
