Government Officially Updates Level 5 Rules Amid ‘Imminent Announcement’

[ad_1]

The government has officially updated its online rules for a level 5 lockdown after a meeting with the medical director.

Taoiseach Micheal Martin, Tanaiste Leo Varadkar, and Green Party leader Eamon Ryan held talks with Dr. Tony Holohan this morning, where he outlined the NPHET case for a national shutdown.

Now the cabinet is expected to have a meeting to discuss the NPHET proposals.

If you accept the recommendation, this would represent a return to the strictest possible public health measures, similar to those seen in April and May.

The rules were updated this afternoon.

And government regulations for Level 5 restrictions have been updated on its website for the first time since Sept. 23, ahead of an announcement expected later today.
