Ten more people with Covid-19 have died, the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) announced tonight.
It brings the number of Covid-19 related deaths reported in Ireland to 1,810.
Eight of the 10 deaths reported today occurred before September 2020.
The Health Protection Surveillance Center (HPSC) has also been notified of 613 confirmed cases of Covid-19.

About 30% have been confirmed to be associated with outbreaks or are close contacts of a confirmed case and 58 cases have been identified as community transmission. Tonight, Dr. Ronan Glynn, Acting Medical Director of the Department of Health, said that the figures that were reported today and during the past week represent a “significant escalation” in the profile of Covid-19 in Ireland.
