Sunday will be a day to sleep with heavy rain and strong winds whipping through most of Ireland.
Met Eireann predicts bad weather will start Saturday night before it sets in for the entire next day.
The national forecaster has already issued a yellow weather warning for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo.
It starts at 7am on Sunday morning and will be in place until 9pm that night.
The forecaster said: “Heavy and sometimes heavy rains with a total of 25-40mm are expected. River levels will rise as a result of this rain, which may result in flooding of some rivers, as well as surface flooding.”
Two marine advisories, a state yellow gale warning and a small craft warning, will also be in effect for the entire weekend.
But it will not just be the four counties above that will have bad weather and bad conditions are expected across the country.
A forecaster from Met Eireann said: “Today will dry out in most areas, with sunny periods, but there will be scattered rains, mainly in the coastal areas of the Atlantic and in the north, which will become intense later in the west of Munster and western Connacht.
“A period of persistent rain will develop in the northeast in the afternoon or early evening. Maximum temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees, in mostly moderate northwest winds, cool to strong on the eastern coasts.
“Tonight, the rain will spread from the northeast across much of Ulster and the east, with some strong gusts. Mostly dry elsewhere, but there will be some scattered showers in the west and southwest, mainly near the coasts. .
“Low temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees. Becoming windy, with moderate to cool winds from the northwest developing, strong in coastal areas.
“Tomorrow morning, the rain will spread west to all areas, and it will be persistent and strong in some places, especially in the northwest where there is a risk of localized flooding. The rain will be patchy in the southwest and more intermittent in the coastal areas of the east and northeast, with some dry periods. Maximum temperatures of 9 to 14 degrees, in cool to strong winds from the northwest “.
