Archie’s mother Lucy, who has been married to Nicholas for 21 years, today posted an emotional tribute to her son.

In response to an emotional post about Archie’s death on Instagram by Game of Thrones star Samuel Small, she wrote, “He will love you and take care of you forever.”

Archie died tragically on September 22. Police and the ambulance were called “to a report of a welfare concern” and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His death is being treated as “inexplicable but not suspicious”.

Police are no longer actively investigating and have passed a file to the West London coroner.

An investigation into Archie’s death will open next week.

My heart aches all day and every day thinking of you and I wish I could talk to you one more time so you would know how much I love you.

Archie’s best friend Small, who starred alongside him in So Awkward, said the actor was his “brother” and a “beautiful soul” in a tribute sense.

He wrote: “To my brother Archie. I still can’t understand what happened. You still had a lot of life to live and I would give anything to keep living.

“My heart aches all day and every day thinking of you and I wish I could talk to you one more time so you would know how much I love you.

“I promise to make you proud until your last breath. I love you from now to infinity. Rest in power brother. “

Describing Archie’s death as “devastating,” he added: “I wish they had known Archie as we did.” I had never met someone so full of life and had touched the hearts of so many people.

“To be honest I still can’t find the words to do her justice and show how beautiful she was, but her mission was to make as many people happy as she could and trust me, she really did. “

THE TRAGEDY OF THE STAR

Archie followed in his father’s footsteps into acting and the teenage actor had already enjoyed several roles on the small screen.

His breakthrough came as Ollie Coulton on the Bafta-winning CBeebies children’s series So Awkward.

He also played a young version of Jack Whitehall’s character Alfie Wickers on the sitcom Bad Education and guest-starred in an episode of Casualty.

He was dating So Awkward co-star Nethra Tilakumara, and the couple posed in various romantic photos on their Instagram story.

The couple, who had been together for a year in April, were photographed on vacation in Amsterdam and Paris with love heart emojis adorning heartwarming snapshots.

In one picture, Archie wrote: “One year together, I love you.”

To each other they wrote “Worship her without end.”

Archie previously revealed that his father, famous for playing goofy Rodney Trotter in Only Fools, warned him against a career in show business.

He told Tresa magazine: “He finally asked me why I wanted to be an actor and I told him it was because I wanted to make people laugh.

“Then he sent me to drama school, I got my first agent, I started getting a job and now I’m here. I am incredibly grateful for all that they have given me.

Nicholas said he warned his son, “I can’t offer any advice other than please don’t.”

I wish I had been as good as him at his age.

He added: “I told Lucy [his wife]: ‘If I ever hear him say the f-word,’ famous, ‘the deal is off. “

“He never has. He is filming his second series for CBBC, So Awkward. I wish I had been as good as him at his age. “

Archie, who also ran his own fashion brand Fated to Pretend, said he “loved” being an actor and entertaining viewers.

He said: “I love what I do and I am very lucky to do what I do at such a young age.

“If I had to say the worst part, it would probably be looking back at me… I can’t do it! I never look back at myself unless absolutely necessary.”

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police confirmed that the death was being treated as “inexplicable but not suspicious.”

They said: “The police were called at approximately 09:41 am on Tuesday 22 September to report a welfare concern.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended.

“An unconscious man was found at the scene. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

“His relatives are aware.

“At this stage, death is treated as inexplicable but not suspicious. An autopsy will be performed in due course. ”
