A man was injured in a hit and run near a school in Co Meath.
The incident occurred in Rathcairn on Monday night between 8:30 pm and 9:00 pm.
A man was walking home in the direction of the village of Rathcairn, near the traffic control signs near a local high school.
He was then hit from behind by a white pickup truck and suffered an arm injury.
The vehicle, which was traveling in the same direction, did not stop.
Officers are now asking anyone with more information to come forward.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardai is looking for possible witnesses or information that may assist in this investigation.
“Please call the Garda station at 046-9240999 if you can help.”
