GARDAÍ IS REQUESTING information related to the unexplained death of a man in his 40s in Dublin in February.
John Hannigan (48) was discovered in the hallway of his apartment complex on Grosvenor Road, Rathmines, Dublin 6 on January 6 and taken to St James Hospital by ambulance. He subsequently passed away on February 20.
Gardaí was informed of John’s death at St. James Hospital and an autopsy was performed, the results of which have not been published for operational reasons.
An investigation established that at 1:30 p.m. on January 3, 2020, John traveled to Balally, Sandyford, Dublin 18, where he briefly met a relative.
The Gardaí have been unable to identify witnesses who may be in a position to provide an account of Hannigan’s movements between the time he left this area and the time he was discovered in his apartment complex on February 20.
The Gardaí investigation has been unable to determine that the sole cause of John’s death was due to natural or accidental circumstances and continues to investigate all circumstances of this unexplained death.
