First images of father of three who died in Dublin horror when donation page was created

A father of three who was tragically killed in a terror head-on collision on the N7 last week will be transferred back to his home country today, as the first images of the victim have been released.

Anatolie Butucel, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene when a car traveling the wrong way on the highway slammed into her vehicle shortly after midnight on September 21.

He had been living and working in South Dublin, but was originally from Moldova and his family and friends were now asking for 10,000 euros for his repatriation.

Photos of the tragic victim were posted on the donation page with the father described by friends as “full of life.”

The page reads: “Dear friends and big-hearted people. We are writing to you with a request that you help us raise the amount necessary for the repatriation of Anatolie Butucel’s body.

“A father of three children, who were killed in a terrible accident, which took place in Ireland on the night of September 21.

“He was only 45 years old, he was in the middle of his life, he enjoyed life and he loved spending time with his children.”

He continues: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donations. At the request of family and friends, the target amount for the funeral home and other additional expenses that the family cannot afford has been increased.

Three others were injured in the incident as well with one of those fighting fatal injuries.

The Garda Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) has also launched an investigation into the collision of two cars.

Gardaí said the Volkswagen Passat “caught the attention” of officials when it made a U-turn shortly before.

It is understood that a patrol car signaled to the dishonest driver to stop, but he sped up quickly on the wrong side of the N7.

The Passat then crashed into the victim’s Toyota Yaris car, which had been driving on the correct side of the road.

A man in his 30s was left fighting for his life at Tallaght Hospital, while a second man in his 20s was also brought there with non-life-threatening injuries and a third man in his 40s was treated. in the place.

The road was closed overnight for a forensic analysis as officers continued their investigations into the terrible accident.

A Garda spokesperson told Dublin Live: “Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a fatal traffic collision between two cars at the N7 exit in Kingswood, Co. Dublin at approximately 12:20 am on September 21. .

“A man in his 40s, the driver of one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene and was taken to the Dublin city morgue.

“A man in his 30s has been taken to Tallaght hospital with life-threatening injuries and another man in his 20s was taken to Tallaght hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

“A man in his 40s was treated at the scene, but did not require hospital admission.”

He added: “As one of the vehicles came to the attention of Gardaí prior to the incident, this matter has been referred to GSOC and the investigation is ongoing.”
