It is a bright and sunny morning in Dublin, but there is a gloomy week for the capital with Met Eireann predicting lots of rain and cold tempers.
The first frost of winter appeared this morning, but it will clear quickly this morning to leave a bright and sunny day, although it will stay cool with maximum temperatures of only 12-14 ° C.
Light showers and drizzles will arrive tonight as temperatures drop between 6 and 8 ° C.
Monday will start wet with scattered showers throughout the day.
It will be warmer than the last few days with highs of 16-18 ° C and the rain is expected to clear up later in the day.
But Met Eireann says this will be just a brief respite from the gloomy weather that awaits us for the rest of the week.

Higher temperatures 12 to 15 degrees with light to moderate south breezes. Wednesday: “ A wet and stormy start to the day as the rain continues to move eastward into the Irish Sea, but more heavy and frequent rains or longer periods of rain will continue to feed across the country from the Atlantic. Higher temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees in moderate to cool southerly winds. ”
Thursday: “ Stormy will start Thursday with moderate to cool westerly winds, still sparse rain, becoming more isolated during the day with spell-sunshine as the winds decrease mainly from the southwest. Cool with maximum temperatures of only 10 to 13 degrees “.
