Gardaí is investigating the death of a man riding an electric scooter in Co Meath.
His body was found in unexplained circumstances on the N51 in Harmanstown, Slane, in the early hours of this morning.
Gardaí attended the scene at approximately 2:50 am following reports of an unconscious man lying on the road.
The man, who was riding an electric scooter from Slane, was treated by ambulance services, but was later pronounced dead.
Currently, the road is closed pending a technical review by forensic collision investigators. There are local deviations.
Right now, An Garda Síochána is treating the incident as a possible traffic collision.
Gardaí in Navan is asking for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
They are also attractive to road users who may have images from the camera (including the dash cam) traveling on the N51 in Harmanstown between approximately 1:30 am and 3 am to make these images available to Gardaí.
