Gardaí has arrested three people following the seizure of more than 100,000 euros worth of suspicious drugs in County Clare.
As part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs, Gardaí from the Divisional Drug Unit, assisted by members of the Armed Support Unit, executed a search warrant at a home in Spancilhill, near Ennis, Little before midnight on Wednesday.
“During the search, Gardaí seized 100,000 euros of cocaine and a quantity of cannabis herb. Cannabis plants with an estimated value of 1,600 euros were also seized from a small grow house that was found inside the house,” said a spokesman of the garda. .
All suspected drugs will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
Two men, between 20 and 40 years old, and a woman between 30 and 30 years old were arrested at the scene and are currently being detained at Garda stations in County Clare under section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act (drug trafficking) of 1996.
