THE MINISTER OF HEALTH has said Dublin’s Covid-19 figures are beginning to stabilize.
Speaking to RTÉ’s News at One today, Minister Stephen Donnelly said the 14-day incidence in Dublin had dropped to 73 per 100,000.
“Basically that means that it looks like Dublin is starting to stabilize, that’s what we want to see in the rest of the country as well.
“Remember when we introduced the measures in Kildare, Laois and Offaly, they were on board quickly and the Kildare, Laois and Offaly communities did exactly what they had to do.
“And in a very short period of time we saw the rates fall again. That is what we want to see in Dublin, that is what I want to see in every county. “
Tonight, health officials reported 324 new cases of Covid-19 in the country and three additional patient deaths. There are 167 new cases in Dublin.

The minister said the current situation requires a “collective effort” from everyone in each county. Cabinet met tonight and the Taoiseach announced that Donegal will move to Level 3 of the Living with Covid plan.
According to the latest data from the Health Protection and Surveillance Center (HPSC), Donegal’s 14-day Covid-19 incidence rate of 122.5 per 100,000 residents is second only to Dublin.
