Currently, one of the main commuter routes is blocked to traffic after a truck capsized and dumped its load.
The truck overturned near the N4 at the roundabout in front of the Hermitage Clinic in Lucan.
Several units of the Dublin Fire Brigade are currently on site and the exit ramp at Junction 2 in the Liffey Valley is currently closed.
DFB said: “We are currently witnessing a heavy vehicle rollover collision in the Liffey Valley outside The Hermitage under the N4. One lane open, traffic restrictions in the area.”
AA Roadwatch reports that traffic is slow in the surrounding areas as well.
They said: “At the N4 entrance, the exit ramp at J2 Liffey Valley is closed because a truck rolled over in the roundabout outside The Hermitage Clinic. Traffic is also slow approaching there on Fonthill Rd North.”
Gardai is also at the scene and no injuries have been reported after the collision.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí is at the scene of a traffic collision involving a truck and a car on the N4 access road to Old Lucan Road at the Hermitage Clinic that occurred this morning on September 23, 2020 at approximately 11:30 am
“The road is closed. Local detours established. No injuries have been reported at this time.”
