Man Dies, Another Seriously Injured in Tipperary Road Accident

A pickup truck driver in his 40s was killed in a collision in Ballynoran, County Tipperary.

The fatal traffic collision occurred on the N24 in Ballynoran, County Tipperary this morning at approximately 7.25am.

The collision involved a van and a truck. The driver of the van was fatally wounded and pronounced dead at the scene.

A man in his 60s who was driving the truck was taken to Waterford University Hospital for treatment for serious injuries.

The road remains closed and forensic collision investigators are examining the scene. There are local deviations.

Gardaí is asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have any information in relation to the collision, to come forward.
