Dublin weather: dramatic drop in temperature as mini heat wave ends

The Indian summer in Dublin is set to come to an end and temperatures drop dramatically this week.

The city enjoyed pleasant heat last week, but Met Eireann says that is about to end when temperatures drop to normal levels for this time of year and there is even the possibility of frost later in the week.

There will be nice sunny periods today with highs 15-16 ° C and it will stay dry tonight, although it will be cold with highs 5-7 ° C.

Monday morning’s patches of fog and mist will give way to another bright and sunny day with highs of 18-20 ° C.

Tuesday: An unstable day as a persistent rain band will move into the western areas in the afternoon, spread eastward during the day, and clear into showers in the west at night.

Rain will clear the eastern areas overnight, becoming mostly clear but cloudier with rains in the western areas. Temperatures will drop to 6-9 ° C with mostly light breezes from west to northwest.
