West Brom boss Slaven Bilic sent off after furious argument on the field with Mike Dean

West Brom coach Slaven Bilic was sent off at the end of the break by Mike Dean after a furious discussion with the match referee.

After a decent first half from West Brom, things turned ugly for the Baggies as the clock ticked towards halftime.

James Rodriguez put Everton ahead in injury time with the two teams drawing 1-1, before Kieran Gibbs was sent off just two minutes later for violent conduct on Rodriguez.

Bilic clearly felt that the red card was too harsh on Gibbs and protested to Dean as the players walked through the tunnel.

“Check the fault. Check the fault, ”Bilic demanded. And the red card. Next time kill us.

“Go, go,” Dean said to Bilic.

“Now that it’s done, you might as well kill us,” Bilic continued.

At this point Dean pulled out the red card and showed it to Bilic, although the Croatian kept protesting.

“Go, go,” Dean continued, pointing to another member of Bilic’s back room staff.

“So I can’t talk to you? I can not talk with you? Bilic asked, as Dean headed towards the tunnel.

Bilic was forced to watch the second half from the press box with a mask on and could face a penalty from the touchline.

Former referee and BT Sport expert Peter Walton revealed on air that Bilic cannot enter the field of play under current restrictions.

“The protocol is that a coach cannot approach a referee on the field of play,” Walton said.

“He is not allowed to enter the field of play. You should wait for a word in the locker room. You can’t go to the playing field and talk to him. “
