Lottery bosses have announced where the winning € 500,000 EuroMillions ticket was sold.

The lucky winner took home the half million euro prize after winning the EuroMillions Plus draw on Friday and was one of two winners to secure six-figure sums last night.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold at the L’Horizon convenience store in downtown Kilcock, Co Kildare.

The winning numbers of the Plus draw were 3, 9, 17, 22 and 46.

The player is the 21st EuroMillions Plus jackpot winner in Ireland so far this year.

There was another six-figure winner in Friday’s EuroMillions main draw.

The lucky man matched five numbers plus a Lucky Star to win € 166,116.

It means that the player was missing a number to win the 67 million euro jackpot.

The winning ticket of € 166,116 was an Advance Play, Quick Pick ticket and was sold at Eiver’s Spar store in Irishtown, in downtown Kilkenny.

The numbers drawn were 2, 10, 19, 25, 45 and the Lucky Stars were 1 and 7.

Check your tickets

Lottery bosses are urging people to check their tickets.

“With so many prize winners in last night’s EuroMillions draw, we ask all of our players to check their tickets very carefully,” said a spokesman for the National Lottery.

“If you are the winner of any of the grand prizes, please contact our prize claims team at 1800 666 222 or email [email protected] and we will arrange for you to collect your prize.”

Meanwhile, the National Lottery has confirmed that next Friday’s top prize will be a guaranteed 130 million euros.

“Regardless of the results of next Tuesday’s (estimated) € 75 million jackpot draw, next Friday’s EuroMillions jackpot will be a guaranteed € 130 million,” said a spokesman.

“That means that even if the jackpot on Tuesday is won, the jackpot on Friday will still be € 130 million.

“The EuroMillions community holds a special Mega Draw event several times a year and it always creates incredible excitement among our players.

“We would love to see another EuroMillions jackpot winner in Ireland and € 130 million would make a potential winner the second biggest lottery winner in Ireland following in the footsteps of last year’s € 175 million victory at Naul, Dublin”.
