The popular Dtwo nightclub and bar will reopen this week, although not as people knew.

Instead, the once thriving nightspot downtown will change its name to “Harcourt Bar” and operate with all HSE guidelines in place.

The owners also said that Dtwo, as a nightclub, won’t be gone forever, though it won’t open anytime soon.

The bar will now open on Friday morning and people will at least be able to feel like they are back at a nightclub.

The owners said in a Facebook post: “We are delighted to announce that we will reopen our doors this Friday at 12pm with a fabulous new interior and a stylish new brand, The Harcourt Bar.”

“Redesigned to incorporate excellent social distancing and incorporate class-leading COVID-19 protocols, this downtown location will feature a stylish interior and a spacious outdoor garden lounge offering delicious food, a selection of premium drinks and cocktails, and the perfect place to reunite with your loved ones!

“Reserve your table today at www.harcourtbar.ie. PS: Don’t worry, it doesn’t mean that Dtwo is gone forever, but we will have an update on the club’s reopening when it’s safe to do so.”

Unfortunately for the nightclub side of the business, they won’t open until the end of 2021 at the earliest without any plans for them in the Living with Covid document released Tuesday.
