The mother and her three children, ages five, seven and 10, had to jump from an upstairs bedroom window after the gas pump woke the family up Monday night.

The fire started when an accelerator was pushed through the property’s mailbox in Laurence’s Park, Drogheda, Co Louth, causing extensive damage.

‘I DID WHAT ANYONE WOULD DO’

And we can reveal how neighbor Conor Kennedy helped rescue the family while riding his bike down the burning track.

Speaking exclusively to the Irish Sun last night, the modest Conor, who broke his ankle in the rescue, said: “I did what anyone else would have done.

“She had to jump out of the window with the three children, I had to catch the three children.

“I jumped on the wall and caught them out the window. I broke my ankle but I’ll be fine.

“He lowered them on the wall, there is a wall on the side of the house.

“I caught them and fell off the wall on the side of the house after knocking them all down. The main thing is that they are fine.

“It was done in silence. They were all sleeping and one of the children woke up.

“When I was passing by the house (before the gas pump), the house was dark, the first time.

‘THANK GOD EVERYONE IS WELL’

“Then literally ten minutes later I came back and they (the family) were at the window, trying to get out of the fire.

“It’s not about what happened, all the children in bed.

“Literally a week he was in the house. Thank God they are all fine. “

Locals believe the arson bomb attack is a case of mistaken identity, and Becky recently moved into the house.

The flames were first seen coming from the entrance to the house, which is on the side of the three-bedroom platform.

Speaking on crutches to our reporter, Conor revealed that it was only “by chance” that he was passing the house at the time of the fire.

He said: “I was coming up the hook on my bike and I see the children in the window and the smoke.

“I was on my bike. She’s only there a week. We believe it was attacked by mistake. It’s just her and the three kids. ”

Traumatized Becky and her children were evaluated by ambulance personnel at the scene and described as shocked but unharmed.

‘LUCKY TO BE ALIVE’

Conor told us: “Now okay, he called me a little while ago to say thank you.

“They are fine thank God, they are lucky to be alive.

“They were all asleep. I rode my bike and the smoke was everywhere. “

The house was bricked up yesterday after the firebomb attack, and Becky, whose partner died a few years ago, is now looking for a new home.

Conor said, “She doesn’t want to go back. She will receive a transfer. It was a pretty bad fire, it looks like they (the gas bombers) put it through the mailbox.

“What happened to them is terrible.”

Gardai is asking for witnesses after the arson. A spokesperson said: “At approximately 9.40 pm, the fire and gardai services alerted of a house fire in Laurence’s Park, Drogheda, Co Louth. Three Fire Brigade Units attended the scene.

“The occupants of the house, a woman and her three young children were removed from the house safely and evaluated by ambulance personnel on the spot.

“They did not require hospital treatment. The fire was quickly controlled, but the property suffered considerable damage.

“An investigation has been launched into all the circumstances of the fire, the scene is currently being preserved for forensic examination, no arrests have been made to date and investigations are ongoing.

“Gardai is requesting that witnesses contact them at Drogheda Garda station on 041 987 4200 or on the confidential Garda line 1800 666 111.”
