Gardaí in Drogheda, Co Louth is investigating whether a gasoline pump started a fire in a family home.
A woman (30) and her three young children had to jump to safety from a bedroom window after the house fire broke out in St Laurence’s Park at approximately 9.40 p.m. Monday.
All four are believed to be unharmed but shocked by their experience.
The scene was preserved for examination by Garda forensic experts.
There are indications that it is not related to the dispute between the gangs in Drogheda.
The fire department was called by locals who saw flames coming from the door of the house. The Drogheda fire service responded and extinguished the fire. There was damage to the door and the porch.
