The entire Cabinet has to isolate itself and the Dáil has been suspended, announced Ceann Comhairle.
It comes after Stephen Donnelly, the Health Minister, felt unwell this afternoon and contacted his GP for a Covid-19 test.
Donnelly participated in a press conference this morning announcing the latest Covid-19 plan to deal with the next six months.
The Ceann Comhairle told Dáil that after “very serious information emerging from the events of today, the Cabinet must now isolate itself.”

Therefore, he said that the possibility of moving forward with matters does not arise and that the house is raised until the following Tuesday, or until “the Taoiseach tells me to meet again.”
The Dáil is now postponed until further notice.
The Minister of Climate Action, Communication Networks and Transport, Eamon Ryan, had already been restricting their movements, as a member of his household was waiting for a test for Covid-19.
