Scissor Sister’s killer Charlotte Mulhall said she feels “lonely and sad” after being forced to change jail on allegations of a lesbian affair with a prison officer.

The infamous killer denied ever playing with the jailer at the Dochas Center women’s prison in Dublin.

The High Court heard yesterday that Mulhall was transferred to Limerick Jail on Christmas Eve 2018, two days after she was allegedly seen by a correctional officer sitting on a jailer while undergoing beauty treatment. Mulhall disputes that accusation and says that she has never been given the opportunity to present her side of events.

She claims that her Dublin family, for various reasons, have not visited her since she moved from prison.

The lack of visitors, she says, has caused “great stress and discomfort for her and her family members.”

In her statement she said: “I am alone and sad. I miss my dog, who was part of the canine program I was doing. “

Represented by Conor Power SC and Cian Kelly Bl, she is seeking multiple orders, including one ordering her return to Dublin and an order reversing the decision to transfer her.

Mr. Power said it was not until June, following a Freedom of Information request, that his client received the reason for his transfer in writing.

In the information obtained, the Correctional Service said that Mulhall had been found “in a very compromising position with a prison official”, and that the relationship “has been the focus of media attention previously.”

Mulhall said she denies it, and if she “had the opportunity to address the situation that I was not, she would have told the governor exactly what happened and this transfer could have been prevented.”

Postponing the case to a date next month, Judge Charles Meenan said the request for permission must be heard in the presence of the defendants’ attorneys.
