A notice of the death of Louth’s father recounted how he died “surrounded by his loving family.”

It read: “Jason Kearney, Saturday September 12, 2020, in peace, surrounded by his loving family, at Mater Hospital Dublin.

“Pre-passed away by his father Hubert (Boo), brother John. We will miss him his heartbroken mother Attracta (née Gray), his daughter Nadene, his sons Jake, Dillen, Brodie, his grandsons Evie, Nancy, the brothers Fra and Dean, sisters Lorriaine, Julie, Michelle and Smantha, brothers-in-law Anthony and Dan, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbors. “

It also states that the arrangements for Kearney’s funeral will be released later.

The Irish Sun previously reported that an innocent homeowner called emergency services after being in a confrontation with the dead man.

GARDA PROBE

Gardai investigating the death believes his attacker may have mistaken him for a thief.

Investigators believe Kearney was assaulted at 3 a.m. after a resident of a nearby house heard a noise and mistook the victim for a burglar.

He was rushed to Mater Hospital after he fell and hit his head on the ground.

Local sources have said that Kearney, who was from Cox’s Desmesne, was well known in the city of Dundalk, where he had been living.

He had also been living in Tallaght but was originally from the Dublin 8 area.

Gardai said in a statement: “Gardaí researchers are renewing their appeal to anyone who has witnessed this incident to come forward.

“They are also attractive to road users who may have camera images (including dash cam) of the area at that time to make available to them.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Store Street Garda station incident room on 01 666 8000, the confidential Garda line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.”

They also said that at that time no arrests have been made in the case, but that they are following a defined line of investigation.
