A Cork restaurant is about to change the game as they are set to launch a strange and wonderful new way of dining out later this month.
Three bubbles have been generating a lot of curiosity outside of Tequila Jack’s and the restaurant in town is set to open them for reservations of up to six people.
The capsules, which are located right on Lapp’s Quay, will have tables set up inside so customers can enjoy delicious Mexican margaritas right on top of the river, regardless of the weather.
Speaking with CorkBeo manager Chris Crowley said a lot of people are already asking for them and there has been a lot of excitement since they came up.
The capsules are the first of their kind in Ireland and are just one of the innovative steps Cork companies have taken since the pandemic.
Chris said: “They will be for reservations only, you can book them through our website and they will be open at the same time as us. Thursday through Sunday.

“We cannot reveal too much at the moment, we hope to have them equipped next week and hope that they will be open to the public by the end of the month.
“We’ve already had a lot of interest. The guys we hired to do the initial construction were inundated with people asking what was going on.
“There has definitely been a lot more interest than we initially thought.
“They have capacity for eight, but with current regulations we will only allow six.”
The restaurant is famous for its delicious cocktails and Mexican flavors, and chef Patryk Baranowski is regularly praised for the quality of his dishes.
It’s a really exciting time for customers who will be rushing to get a glimpse of unique capsules that won’t be found anywhere else in the country.
Chris and the rest of the passionate team hope to have the same ambient atmosphere as the interior of the restaurant, and they are delighted to bring something a little different to the city.
