Conor McGregor has undergone drug testing aboard his £ 3 million superyacht despite retiring from mixed martial arts earlier this year.
The former two-weight UFC world champion is currently in Monaco as he prepares for a 180km journey to raise awareness of water safety.
McGregor will complete the challenge this weekend with Princess Charlene, a former Olympic swimmer and husband of Prince Albert II.
But on Friday, the Irishman posted photos on social media of a drug test kit and said: “What’s going on here UFC? USADA just arrived on my yacht this morning for testing? I retired!”
“But go ahead, I’ll let you taste me. Everything is natural here baby! Forever and ever, God bless you. 180 km across the Mediterranean Sea tomorrow! LET’S GO!”
By remaining in the test group, McGregor has allowed himself the opportunity to fight again.
McGregor hung up his gloves in June for the third time in four years after being frustrated by the lack of viable opponents.
But Nick Diaz’s proposed comeback early next year prompted him to hint at a comeback.
And he gave Nick and his brother Nate – with whom McGregor has twice shared the Octagon – another chance as “juice-headed rats.”
Another option for McGregor was opened up on Thursday when Dustin Poirier was unable to reach a deal with the UFC to face Tony Ferguson in October.
The lightweight rivals were to meet as the co-main event of Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Justin Gaethje in Abu Dhabi.
But Poirier, who has been defeated by both McGregor and Nurmagomedovr, was unable to reach an agreement with the UFC’s top brass.
