Sky Sports has confirmed its roster of experts for the 2020/21 season after a series of controversial layoffs.
Matt Le Tissier, Phil Thompson and Charlie Nicholas were fired from the Soccer Saturday panel and host Scott Minto also left the company.
They plan to use a variety of studio guests alongside the likes of Jeff Stelling, Paul Merson, and Chris Kamara on the show this season.
Now they have confirmed that Sue Smith, Clinton Morrison, Alan McInally and Glen Johnson will also be regulars on the panel.
But the new guests will also include Adebayo Akinfenwa, Tim Sherwood, Robbie Fowler and Joleon Lescott.
Sky’s match coverage will remain largely unchanged, with Patrice Evra, Roy Keane and Micah Richards in regular roles after performing last season.
Presenters David Jones and Kelly Cates will be joined by experts Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Graeme Souness and Jamie Redknapp.
Sky Sports Director of Soccer Gary Hughes said: “With fans currently unable to attend games in person, it is imperative that we provide the best possible television and digital coverage to our audience.
“Confirming Patrice, Micah and Roy to join our existing roster of award-winning experts is brilliant news and we will strive to bring the game closer to fans than ever before with more live action, highlights and analysis.”
