There was a tragedy on the roads of Cork today, as two people were killed in separate collisions at Bandon and Mallow.
A man in his 30s died after a serious collision in the Dromohane area of Mallow around 4pm.
Gardaí and the emergency services went to the scene of the crash between a motorcycle and a truck.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to CUH for an autopsy.
The driver of the truck, a man in his 50s, was treated for concussion at the scene.
The local road between Dromahane and Glantane is still closed tonight due to a forensic examination being carried out, but there are local detours.

Elsewhere, a woman in her 60s died after a car-truck collision this afternoon.
The accident happened near the Baxters Bridge on Bandon to Balineen Road around 1pm today.
The road is still closed due to a forensic examination being carried out, but the local detours are back in place.
The collision occurred at the Bandon Golf Club turnoff near Baxters Bridge.
A man, reportedly in his 60s, the driver of the car, has been taken to Cork University Hospital, where his condition is described as serious. The truck driver was unhurt.
