Simon Cowell’s half-brother Tony Cowell taunted the Britain’s Got Talent judge with a cheeky joke about his recent accident.

As the 60-year-old talent show mogul was recovering from breaking his back at his home in Los Angeles, Tony gave his brother a hilarious punch on social media.

By sharing a photo of a bicycle on his Twitter profile, journalist Tony appeared to refer to Simon’s electric bicycle mistake.

Along with the photograph, the columnist wrote: “A bicycle. A normal bicycle. Much safer than the electric bicycle. #Greece.”

Tony’s fans were quick to make the connection and loved the cheeky jokes.

“Sibling pranks mean getting away with things that no one else could,” joked one follower.

Another added, “Hope bro is getting better. X”

A third party simply wrote “ouch”.

Tony’s hilarious prank came weeks after Simon dramatically fell off his electric bike while testing it out at his Los Angeles home.

The television judge broke his back in the unpleasant incident and was shortly afterwards taken to surgery, where a steel bar was inserted into his back.

Despite his recent injury, Simon is said to be on the mend and his friends even nicknamed him “Terminator.”

A friend revealed to The Sun: “One of his friends joked that the metal that holds him together makes him The Terminator, which amused Simon.

“He will not care if that continues, but the main thing is that he is improving.”

Doctors seem to have insisted that Simon stay home while he continues to recover, which means he has not been able to return to the UK for the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent.

Simon Cowell is currently recovering in Los Angeles with his partner Lauren Silverman and their son Eric.

When the show returned last night, viewers were initially taken aback by Simon’s absence after he was replaced by Diversity’s Ashley Banjo.

However, at the end of the show, some fans were eager for Ashley Banjo to become a permanent judge on the show due to her honest and straightforward evaluation techniques.
