The weather this morning is a bit mixed, as there will be scattered showers and sunshine.
Showers will become more isolated in the afternoon and temperatures will be 17 ° C to 19 ° C.
It will be cloudy tonight as outbreaks of rain and drizzle will spread into the morning. Temperatures will range between 11 ° C and 13 ° C.
Monday is scheduled to see a temperature spike at 20 ° C, but it will start wet with bouts of rain and drizzle.
However, it will get drier later in the morning.
A forecaster from Met Eireann warned of colder and “unstable” conditions at the end of the week, but not before temperatures rise to 23 ° C on Tuesday.
Here’s the national outlook for the rest of the week:
monday night
The forecaster said: “Mostly cloudy and dry, however, there will be more erratic drizzle along the Atlantic shores. Soft and hazy, with lows of 12 ° C to 15 ° C with light to moderate breezes from the southwest. “
Tuesday
“Mostly cloudy and hazy, with outbreaks of rain affecting parts of Connacht, western Ulster and western Munster and becoming more intense later in the day.
“Drier conditions persist for much of the day elsewhere, with only erratic falls of light rain and drizzle.
“Some limited brighter intervals can occur in the southeast. Maximum temperatures will range between 17 ° C and 23 ° C with moderate breezes from the southwest.
“Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy to start with bouts of rain, with a stronger gust spreading southeast over the country, followed by cooler, clearer conditions and showers in the northwest.
“Lows of 10 ° C to 12 ° C in Connacht and Ulster, with 13 ° C to 15 ° C elsewhere with light to moderate breezes from southwest to west.”
Wednesday
“Residual clouds and patchy rain, drizzle and fog in the south and east will clear during the morning. The cloud will gradually dissolve during the day giving way to the brightest and sunniest spells at night. Maximum temperatures of 15 ° C to 18 ° C in mostly moderate west breezes.
“Wednesday night will be dry with good clear periods, however, the clouds will thicken in the west before morning. It’s cold with low temperatures dropping from 6 ° C to 8 ° C away from the west coast, where it will stay warmer between 8 ° C and 11 ° C. “
Thursday
“Mostly dry and cloudy on Thursday, with only hazy highlights developing in the late afternoon, patchy light rain and drizzle will hit the northwestern shores later in the evening.
“Feeling much cooler with maximum temperatures of 13 ° C to 15 ° C in variable light breezes turning from the southwest and increasing from light to moderate during the afternoon.”
