Gardai is investigating the “suspicious approach” of a boy in North Dublin.
An urgent warning was issued to parents after the student was “followed by a man” on his way to school early Thursday morning.
The incident occurred in the northern urban center of the capital around 8:50 a.m. M.
The school has referred the incident to Gardai, who say they are investigating the alleged “suspicious approach”.
An email sent to parents and guardians, viewed by the Irish Mirror, urges them to speak to their children about safety in the community.
It is also understood that officers will be attending school for the next several weeks.
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardai is investigating a report of a suspicious approach to a child that allegedly occurred in Dublin 7 on September 3 at approximately 8:50 am.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
