A worker at a McDonald’s restaurant in Co Louth tested positive for coronavirus.
The staff member at the Drogheda location contracted the killer bug and is now following self-isolation protocols.
All employees currently working at the restaurant have been informed.
The store itself has been thoroughly cleaned and will continue to operate normally.

They are not believed to have contracted the virus at work.
McDonald’s has implemented a number of measures to combat Covid-19, including Perspex screens, temperature controls, and social distancing whenever possible.
A spokesperson said: “We have been informed that an employee at our Drogheda restaurant had tested positive for COVID-19 this week and is now self-isolating.
“As soon as we were informed, an external cleaning company performed a deep cleaning of the restaurant and we contacted all the restaurant employees.
“We have a number of security measures in place to help keep our people safe, including Perspex screens, temperature controls at the beginning of each shift, keeping two meters away from others as much as possible, covering their faces , wash your hands regularly and use hand sanitizer. ”
It comes after it emerged this afternoon that another Kerry elementary school had a confirmed case of coronavirus in one of its students.
An elementary and middle school in West Kerry sent classes home Thursday after a positive case and the latest school became the third in the county.
A student from this school, which is in a separate area from the previous two, tested positive and all parents received a letter on Friday.
The student is believed to have not been sent to school and contacts were kept to a minimum; only confirmed close contacts were asked to stay home and the rest of school to continue as normal.
The HSE has conducted a full risk assessment and everyone involved has been contacted.
So far since the schools opened, five in Dublin, three in Kerry, one in Meath and one in Clare have all had positive tests.
HSE and government guidelines here in Ireland advise schools to contact one of the Public Health Departments within HSE before making a decision on whether to close, if there is a suspected or confirmed case of Covid-19.
