Man suffers ‘serious head injuries’ in assault in central Dublin

A man was seriously injured in an assault in Dublin city center.

The wounded man, in his 40s, was taken to Mater Hospital with “serious head injuries” and is in critical condition following an incident in Seville Place, Dublin 1 early Wednesday morning.

The assault took place around two thirty in the morning.

Gardaí is appealing to any witnesses to this incident and anyone with information who comes forward.

A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana said: “Gardaí is also attracting any road user who may have camera footage (including dash cam) traveling through the area at the time to make it available to Gardaí.

“Anyone with any information should contact the Store Street Garda station on 01 666 8000, the confidential Garda line at 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.”
