A man was arrested after Gardai seized a whopping € 255,450 worth of controlled drugs in a major search last night.
Agents conducted a search of an apartment in Dun Laoghaire shortly after 9 pm Thursday and discovered cocaine worth more than 250,000 euros and heroin with a street value of 2,400 euros during their seizure.
A large quantity of drug paraphernalia was seized in the apartment, including a large hydraulic press and mixing containers.
The arrested man in his 40s is currently being held at Dun Laoghaire Garda station and investigations are ongoing.
A Garda spokeswoman said: “The Gardaí attached to the Dublin Metropolitan Region Eastern Division Drug Unit has seized controlled drugs worth € 255,450 and arrested a man, following a search operation in Dun Laoghaire , Dublin last night, Thursday 3rd September.

“At approximately 9 p.m., Gardaí searched and executed a Section 26 search warrant on an apartment in a residential development. During the course of the operation, cocaine with an estimated street value of 253,050 was suspected. euros and alleged heroin with an estimated street value of 2,400 euros were seized. The drugs will now be sent for analysis. ”
