So far, more than 29,000 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the State and more than 1,700 people have died.
Dublin, Kildare, Tipperary, Carlow, and Limerick are currently the five counties with the highest 14-day incidence rates of Covid-19 in the Republic.
All five have rates of more than 50 cases per 100,000 people during the last two weeks, until midnight on September 1.

Daily confirmed cases have risen again since July, after falling significantly from their April peak, as lockdown restrictions imposed in March were relaxed.
On Thursday, the government said there were 95 recently confirmed cases.
While the number of new confirmed coronavirus cases has risen again recently, deaths have continued to decline from a peak in mid-April.
No new deaths were confirmed in the latest Health Department update on the coronavirus situation on Thursday.
