An 11-year-old girl was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Limerick today.

They said: “Gardai and emergency services attended the scene of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on the N24 in Pallasgreen, Co Limerick at approximately 5.30pm on Thursday 3 September 2020.

“An 11-year-old girl was seriously injured when she was hit by a car. She was airlifted from the scene to Cork University Hospital, where her condition is believed to be serious.

“An examination of the crash site was carried out and since then the road has been reopened to traffic. The occupants of the car were unharmed.”

They added: “Anyone with information should contact the Bruff Garda station 061-382940 or the confidential Garda line 1800 666 111.”
