Fifteen patients have tested positive for coronavirus at the Craigavon Area Hospital when a third group was confirmed at the site.
The outbreaks have led hospital authorities to suspend visits for at least seven days in all circumstances except the end of life.
The Southern Trust said a new group had been detected in one of Co Armagh Hospital’s main wards, Ward 3 South, with a patient and a staff member testing positive overnight Monday.
Eleven ward staff members self-isolate.
The Hematology Room and the Emergency Department had already addressed the outbreaks.
A total of 14 patients seen in the Hematology Room have tested positive.
Sixteen ward staff members also tested positive and are not working and self-isolating.
An ongoing search process has identified 40 other staff members as potential contacts. They are also self-insulating.
The room remains closed to new admissions.
Last week, the Southern Trust said that three members of the Emergency Department staff had tested positive for Covid-19, with an additional 21 staff members self-isolating as a precaution.
On Tuesday, the trust said no more cases had been identified and that the situation in the emergency department was “returning to normal.”
Visits to the hospital will be suspended from Wednesday. The trust said the suspension would be reviewed after seven days.
“The priority of the trust is to limit the number of people in the hospital while Covid-19 continues to circulate in the community,” the trust said in a statement.
“We understand that visits are important to our patients and clients and we will re-introduce them as soon as it is safe to do so.
“Visits are for end-of-life care only and must be coordinated with the ward administrator.”
