Ed Sheeran has revealed that his wife Cherry gave birth to their daughter.

The wife of The Shape Of You hitmaker welcomed daughter Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran last week.

Proud new dad Ed, 29, happily shared the news with his 31.1 million fans on his Instagram account on Tuesday.

In an affectionate message, the red-haired singer revealed that the couple was “completely in love with her.”

Ed gushed out that his wife and baby were “doing amazing” while celebrating being on “cloud nine.”

“Last week, with the help of an amazing birthing team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter, Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.

“We are completely in love with her. Both mom and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here.

The redhead shared his news on social networks.

The couple kept their pregnancy a secret as much as possible, as they didn’t make their happy news public until their daughter was born.

Finally, Ed confirmed the pregnancy rumors that had started to swirl around the show business circuit recently.

The singer plans to get a tattoo to commemorate the arrival of his daughter, according to his tattoo artist.

His tattooist Kevin, owner of Kevin Paul Tattoo Studio in Derby, revealed that Ed had been planning to get a tattoo when his baby arrived.

The artist, who has worked on Ed’s body art since 2012, thought that the redhead would go for the special tattoo on her back.

“He has always planned to get tattoos for his children; being a father is something he has always talked about and the most important thing in his life,” he told The Sun.
