The mayor of Killarney has condemned the scenes of young people partying in the center of the city as “disgraceful”.
Images have emerged of crowds of people drinking and singing and not observing social distance on Main Street on Saturday night.
Some men are seen jumping on top of a phone booth containing a defibrillator.
Men and women are seen drinking on both sides of the street, cheering as cars pass by on crowded sidewalks.
At one point in the widely shared video, a man strips naked in his boxer shorts as the audience cheers.

This is the latest such footage in recent weeks of crowded and rebellious street scenes in Killarney, which has shocked locals.
Independent mayor Brendan Cronin on Sunday morning called those scenes “embarrassing” and called on Gardaí to take a firmer approach.
“At a time when we cannot go to see a football game, in which weddings are postponed and other family occasions are postponed, the behavior seen last night in our town was nothing less than showing two fingers to everyone. They have put in a lot of time and effort to make Killarney safe, ”said the mayor.
He said the public and business owners in the city had done a great job of ensuring that the number of new cases remains as low as possible by putting restrictions before personal preferences. Business owners and staff had done everything they could to protect Killarney’s customers and visitors, he said.
Cllr Cronin said he sympathizes with the Killarney volunteer first responders group for the disrespect shown to the community defibrillator on Main Street.
“Those who decided to use the defibrillator box as their ‘stage’ last night need to publicly apologize for this disrespect shown.
“I call on An Garda Siochana to redouble its efforts to ensure that a similar large gathering like this does not happen again,” he said in a statement.
Gardaí has been asked for comment.
