Donald Trump has suggested that people in the midst of Hurricane Laura could sell their autograph for $ 10,000.
the The President of the United States was in Lake Charles, Louisiana, on Saturday to see the damage caused by the hurricane and receive information on the disaster and the federal response.
He signed autographs for some of those listening, saying they could sell them on eBay for $ 10,000 (£ 7,500).
Trump sat down and called a group of people, saying, “Come here guys, come here. I want some power.”
Handing his autograph to an official, he said, “Sell this on eBay tonight, you’ll get $ 10,000,” and told another recipient that he is deliberately not putting his name on because it would be worth more without it.
EBay already has several pieces of memorabilia autographed by Trump, with some of the deals reaching thousands of dollars.
