Notices advising people not to swim at four North Dublin beaches have been removed.
These include Rush North, Skerries South, Velvet Strand Portmarnock, and Loughshinny.
The results received today from the samples taken on August 27 indicate a return to “excellent” status for all.
The Fingal County Council has removed notices advising people not to swim on beaches.
However, the “no swim” advisory issued earlier this week for Front Strand, Balbriggan has been extended for six days due to a poor water quality result.
Investigations are ongoing and no reportable sewage overflows / blockages were found.
Sampling of the Bracken River and these bathing waters will continue and investigation of other sources of contamination is progressing.
Bathers in North Dublin are encouraged to sign up for alerts from Fingal at Alerts.fingal.ie
Members of the public can check the water quality in any of the monitored bathing waters in Ireland in advance by accessing the EPA website at www.beaches.ie or by checking the notice board at the entrance to each beach.
