A man was killed in a motorcycle accident on a popular scenic route in Co Kerry.
The 50-year-old was seriously injured when his bicycle collided with a car between Watergate and Caherdaniel shortly after 3pm today.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The occupants of the car were unharmed.
Gardai and local emergency services attended the scene that is currently preserved for examination by Garda’s forensic collision investigators.
There are detours along the route. The coroner has been notified.
A Garda spokesperson said: “The Gardaí are calling for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
“Investigating Gardaí is also attractive to road users who may have camera footage (including the dash cam) traveling this route at the time to make it available to them.
