A pedestrian was killed in a collision involving a car and truck in Dublin this afternoon, while a motorcyclist in his 50s was killed in Co Kerry.
The first accident occurred around 1pm on Phibsborough Road in the northern city center. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for a forensic examination, but has since been reopened.
Gardaí is appealing to any witness and any road user who may have dash cam footage to come forward.

At around 3 p.m., a collision involving a motorcycle and a car occurred on the Ring of Kerry N70 between Waterville and Caherdaniel.
The motorcyclist, a 50-year-old man, was seriously injured and pronounced dead at the scene shortly thereafter. The occupants of the car were unharmed.
The site was attended by gardaí and local emergency services and is currently being kept for examination. There are detours along the route.
