In terms of a synopsis, Liverpool FC: 30 years of waiting will provide an “insight into why the club’s dominance of soccer faded in the 1980s; how the club’s identity was shaped by the Heysel and Hillsborough tragedies; and the struggle to keep up with the world of soccer rapidly evolving, before moving on to Jurgen Klopp’s revolution that brought them back to the top of the game. “
The documentary is narrated by Liverpool fan Jason Isaacs and includes contributions from Jurgen Klopp, Rafa Benitez, Roy Evans, Gerard Houllier and Brendan Rodgers.
As for the players interviewed, Mohamed Salah, Jordan Henderson, Virgil Van Dijk, Robbie Fowler, John Barnes and Michael Owen will also participate.
As you can see in the clip below, the movie will also delve into some of the club’s low points during those three decades in which they did not win the league, such as the decision to make Roy Evans and Gerard Houllier co-managers, and the Hicks-Gillett Era.
