The I’m A Celebrity poster … Get me out of here! 2020 is officially complete, confirmed an ITV boss, Kevin Lygo.
Lygo admitted that he was concerned that celebrities would pull out of the show after it was announced that it will be filming in the UK for the first time.
But he has now said revealed that after months of negotiation, the contestant quota is full and that he is “excited” for the show that will take place for the first time at the haunted Gwrych Castle in North Wales.
“I certainly didn’t want a year without I’m A Celebrity.
“We could survive without it, but my gosh, it’s a wonderful thing that has worked so well over a long period of time,” he told The Sun.
Addressing the current travel restrictions, he explained: “Australia was always going to be a challenge, so we found this extraordinary place here in North Wales which is kind of a beautiful Disney-drawn castle falling apart. We just thought they look like some. perfect holiday”.
He said he thinks “it will be fascinating to see what the public does” and that it will be “a great challenge for the producers to come up with different games and different tasks.”
Kevin added that he has a lot of big decisions to make and he knows that this really stimulates the team.
The ITV boss did not reveal who the lineup is for the show, but several celebrities are rumored to be on the list.
The I’m A Celebrity bosses are said to be in “advanced conversations” with Keith Duffy.
Keith was reportedly asked to appear on the show last year, but was on tour with his former Boyzone bandmate Brian McFadden.
This Morning host Eamonn Holmes is the latest rumored camp buddy, according to Coral bookmakers.
Katie Price’s ex-husband, Kieran Hayler, has hinted that he might appear on the next series of the jungle show.
Speaking about the possibility of signing on the series, Kieran told New! magazine: “I’d love to continue. I’m a celebrity. I think there have been talks, but I’m not sure.”
Among the other celebrities linked to the show is AJ Pritchard, who is said to be in talks to join the lineup after leaving Strictly Come Dancing.
The cost of renting the castle for six weeks is believed to be over £ 1 million.
Gwrych Castle has a dark history, as it has been used for satanic rituals.
The castle, which was a popular visitor attraction in the 60s and 70s, is said to be haunted by the Countess of Dundonald, who died in 1924.
Local legends suggest that the ghost of the Duchess appears hovering over a first-floor window in a room with no floorboards due to rotting wood.
The air date for I’m a Celeb 2020 has not been disclosed, but the show typically begins in November of each year.
