Manchester City have been eager for young Brazilian right-back Yan Couto to spend a season on loan at Leeds United, if the Whites are promoted, according to Athletic.
Pep Guardiola’s champions have secured the services of the 17-year-old full-back, and this summer he will bond with the Citizens from Coritiba.
Couto is unlikely to be included directly in the first-team squad at Etihad Stadium and Manchester City has been considering sending him on loan.
The club is eager for him to play Marcelo Bielsa in Leeds, if the Whites make sure they play Premier League football next season.
Leeds has Jack Harrison on his second Manchester City loan of the entire season and Bielsa has improved the winger game; Whites are expected to buy it in the summer.
Manchester City could be looking for Bielsa to do a similar job with Couto and make English football easier for him.
Couto joins Manchester City on a five-year Coritiba contract, with citizens outperforming the Barcelona competition for top-rated talent.
The Brazilian winger has been crowned by Brazil at the U-17 level and resulted in the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
