GARDAÍ arrested three men and confiscated more than 100,000 euros of suspected cannabis today in Birr, Co Offaly.
Police said the Laois / Offaly Division Drug Unit and the Portlaoise / Tullamore Detective Units made the arrests during a search of a home in the Birr Town area.
The units also seized more than € 100,000 of suspected cannabis, which was assisted by members of the Birr Garda station.
Three men, ages 20, 30, 40, were arrested under Section 15 of the 1977/94 Drug Abuse Act
The trio are currently detained at Garda Birr and Tullamore stations, Gardaí said.

Gardai has said the investigations continue.
A spokesperson said: Gardaí, from the Laois / Offaly Divisional Drug Unit and the Portlaoise / Tullamore Detective Units, assisted by members of the Birr Garda Station today, 05/11/2020, searched a house in the area of Birr Town of Co. Offaly.
“More than € 100,000 of cannabis was seized (analysis pending) as part of the search.
“Three men, aged between 20, 30 and 40, were arrested under Section 15 of the 1977/94 Drug Abuse Act and are currently detained at the Birr and Tullamore Garda stations.
“The investigations continue.
