Irish Weather Forecast: Met Eireann Warns of Freezing Nights Before Hot Air Stream Arrives This Weekend

Cold cold nights are reserved for Ireland, but temperatures will soar this weekend as a draft of hot air hits.

Met Eireann forecast lows of 0C on Tuesday night, and it will be as cold as -2C on Wednesday night.

However, an oscillation of the s. XVII will raise temperatures on Friday, and the weekend is expected to be even warmer.

A spokesperson said: “Continuing mainly dry on Friday, perhaps a transient rain in the northwest during the morning.

“The best of sunlight will also be in the morning with clouds increasing in the afternoon.

“Temperatures a little milder from 12 to 16 degrees. Dry overnight with some clouds around and lows from 2 to 6 degrees.

“Over the weekend it got a little warmer when an air current settled to the southwest.

“Sunny periods will occur, although there is sometimes a risk of irregular rain, mainly in the north and west.”

Meanwhile, Tuesday will be a good weather day for many parts of the country.

The south will have long periods of sunshine with temperatures of 15C, while other areas may experience more cloudy conditions.

The forecaster added: “The best of the sun will be in the southern counties today with variable clouds elsewhere.

“It will generally be dry with some rain, mainly in the northern counties.

“Highs of 10-15 degrees, milder in the south, with light to moderate winds from the north.”

They added: “Tonight will be dry in many areas with clear periods. Some rains will hit northern counties early in the evening, but will soon die out.

“Lower temperatures of 0 to 4 degrees, with a touch of frost and gentle breezes from the north.”
