Kinsale Youth Support Services joined people across the country this morning to mark what the Darkness into Light walk should have been.
Pieta House’s annual fundraiser was canceled due to the Covid-19 crisis.
Instead of the usual 5km walk, people across the country got up at 5.30 a.m. and they shared their dawn moment.
When the night is darkest and the need is greatest, your kindness is the brightest light of all.
To all of you who woke up this morning to share a sunrise, who donated what you could, and who shared inspiring messages of hope, we thank you! pic.twitter.com/HhSjJdSAOT

To mark the event, Kinsale Youth Support Services along with 49 emergency services vehicles drove through Kinsale as “a symbolic race” following the usual Darkness into Light route.
Fifteen-year-old Ruairi Devlin got some great pictures and created a video.
