Tributes paid as man killed in locally named Cork farm incident –

The Ballinhassig community and Cork’s farming community at large are in shock after learning of the tragic death of John Reynolds, who died in an agricultural incident yesterday afternoon.

Senator Tim Lombard paid tribute to John, saying that the family is known and highly appreciated in the area.

“It is a tragic event on a beautiful Saturday afternoon,” said Senator Lombard. “Everyone would know that John and his family and community are in shock after the tragic incident.

“The family is well known in the farming community and my sympathies are with the family at this difficult time.”

The bull killed the 74-year-old man on the family farm while tending livestock. The tragic incident occurred yesterday afternoon, and he was pronounced dead shortly after 7pm at Cork University Hospital.

The incident is being treated as a tragic accident, and the Safety and Health Authority is working with Gardai on the investigation of the death.
