An Irish EuroMillions player is celebrating tonight after winning a € 500,000 mega cash prize.
The lucky bettor correctly matched five numbers in the Plus game to take the pot home.
The National Lottery revealed that the ticket holder is in Kerry.
The drawn golden numbers were 1, 9, 42, 46 and 50.
There was no jackpot winner tonight, worth € 59,184,725, but over 35,000 players in Ireland won prizes.
The numbers in the main table were 6, 29, 34, 35, 40 and the lucky stars were 4 and 11.
The jackpot is now coming to the next EuroMillions draw later this week.
Last week, a EuroMillions player in Kilkenny won almost € 100,000 after matching five EuroMillions numbers.
The lucky Quick Pick ticket was sold at Glynn’s Daybreak store in Friary Walk Retail Park, Callan, Co Kilkenny.
The winning numbers for the EuroMillions main draw were: 03, 10, 17, 33 and 39 and the lucky star numbers were: 01 and 04.
Michael Glynn, owner of Glynn’s Daybreak said: “We are absolutely delighted. It was a pleasant surprise to receive the call from the National Lottery this morning as it is our first big winner in the store!
“It’s also good news for the city, and hopefully given that most of our business is from local people these days with people shopping closer to home, the winner is someone from Callan.”
